Petra Petroleum Inc. (the "Company" or "Petra") (TSX VENTURE: PTL) is pleased to announce that K. Peter Miller has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Sandra Lee has been appointed Corporate Secretary of the Company effective February 15, 2010.

The Company would also like to announce the resignation of Jennie Choboter as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Company. The Company would like to thank Ms. Choboter for her hard work and wishes her well in her future endeavours.

Petra continues to assess new properties and opportunities with an overall goal of growing the Company.
