--France's Casino has entered exclusive talks to sell its Leader Price chain of discount stores to Germany's Aldi, French business daily Les Echos reports, citing sources familiar with the matter.

--The deal could be worth substantially more than 400 million euros ($442.1 million), and could close in the next four to five weeks, Les Echos reports.

--Both retailers declined to comment, Les Echos says. Casino shares trade 2.8% higher at EUR44.04.
