Swiss cement maker LafargeHolcim Ltd. (LHN.EB) said Wednesday that it appointed French mechanical engineer Magali Anderson as its chief sustainability officer, a newly created position in the company's Executive Committee.

The move is part of the company's efforts to promote sustainability in the industry. Anderson joined the company in 2016 as the head of health and safety.
