iSIGN and Newcomp Analytics Launch the 'iSIGN Trusted Partner
Analytics Pilot Program' to Evaluate and Measure Data
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct 23, 2013) - iSIGN Media
Solutions Inc. ("iSIGN" or "Company") (TSX
VENTURE:ISD)(OTCQX:ISDSF), a leading provider of interactive mobile
advertising solutions that serves advertisers, manufacturers,
retailers and advertising agencies throughout North America,
together with IBM/Cognos's data partner, Newcomp Analytics
("Newcomp"), have created a program for clients and partners called
the iSIGN Trusted Partner Analytics Pilot Program.
The new program will extend to major retail chains, and will
involve the installation of iSIGN's Smart Antennas throughout
retailers' stores. Data gathered by iSIGN's Smart Antennas will be
integrated with each retailer's existing point-of-sale ("POS")
data.
The program is being launched to help partners and clients
determine the correct data value formula, by categorizing the types
of consumer insights they are collecting. Point-of-sale data is
usually a smaller set, consisting of a consumer's basket size, the
types of items purchased and the time of day purchases were
made.
The resulting linked data is analysed, interpreted and evaluated
by Newcomp. The gathered data will also be reviewed and potentially
combined with data already supplied to Newcomp from other sources.
iSIGN's university partners may also be involved throughout the
program as required.
Considering that the ROI potential of Big Data is forecast to
grow 600% in the next 3-5 years to $3.50 for every dollar invested
from 50 cents per dollar spent today, a cost center, it is critical
that retailers and marketers accurately assess data's dollar value
at the correct level. iSIGN estimates that its initial Big Data
pricing will be between 20 cents to as much as a $1.40 per insight.
By adding loyalty program customer insights to this equation, data
values could rise to as much as $3 or $4.
The companies, through GraphicMedia, Inc, iSIGN's exclusive
distributor, have received approval from several American and
Canadian retailers to conduct pilot programs: a major American
grocery retailer; and a large retailer within the Canadian
convenience store sector. Additional installations are also under
discussion with a quick service restaurant chain with outlets in
both American and Canadian markets.
The iSIGN Trusted Partner Analytics Pilot Program, marries data
from mobile interactions with POS data. The industry-first program
will provide insights on the value and pricing of integrated data
coming from several footprints, as well as insights on consumer
preferences and purchase behaviors.
iSIGN and Newcomp estimate that 300 locations to start will be
taking part in the Trusted Partner Analytics Pilot Program,
commencing and ending during iSIGN's fiscal quarter ended January
31, 2014.
