OMV AG said Thursday that repair work at the Schwechat refinery in Austria is on schedule following a mechanical incident, and that it plans to start the commissioning and ramp-up phase in the first half of October.

The Austrian oil-and-gas company said the alternative supply system, which replaced production at the refinery following the incident in June, will be maintained for as long as needed so markets can be supplied reliably and stocks replenished more quickly.

Following the ramp-up phase, OMV plans to start progressively supplying the markets from Schwechat refinery production, it said.
