Video Display Corp Receives Follow-On Contract for Airborne Displays

Video Display Corporation (Nasdaq:VIDE), an internationally
recognized leader in design and manufacture of specialty niche
market and rugged displays for commercial, industrial and military
requirements, announced that its Aydin Displays, Inc. subsidiary
has received a follow-on production contract valued at
approximately $3M for its 24" Airborne Display. This award was
received from a leading Prime Contractor of military systems and is
a continuation of a long term production program that is scheduled
to last for several more years. Deliveries under this contract are
expected to begin in the third quarter of 2013 and continue through
the end of the year. An additional follow-on production order
valued in excess of another $3.5M is expected later this year under
the program expected to exceed a total of $30 million during its
projected term.
Aydin's 24" Airborne Display was designed specifically to
perform in a military airborne environment. The display also
includes state of the art electronics for advanced signal
processing, touch screen capabilities and optical enhancements
including Aydin's proprietary optical bonding.
