Leonard Makowka, M.D., Ph.D., F.R.C.S.(C.), F.A.C.S.

With over twenty-three years experience as a research physician and medical doctor, Dr. Leonard Makowka is well known for his prolific, scientific research on organ regeneration and transplantation, and as a leader in the field of hepatic science (relating to the liver). In 1989, Dr. Makowka was the youngest doctor ever to be appointed as Chairman of the Department of Surgery of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He has been published over 350 times in various respected medical journals, and has received over $9 million in grants for his research on organ transplants. In addition to being an accomplished surgeon and research physician, Dr. Makowka is also an adept businessman and entrepreneur, who has founded and/or co-founded several very successful business enterprises.

Michael Y.H. Shen, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.C.

With twenty years experience as a medical doctor in the U.S., Dr. Shen originally earned his medical doctorate at Jiamusi College in P.R. China. Dr. Shen is an expert in the field of cardiology, cardiac imaging, and in the more recently prioritized arena of health care information management. He has spent much of his career as a practicing physician specializing in internal medicine and cardiovascular health. His many faculty appointments, committees that he serves on, and his many articles published in medical journals are all mostly focused on nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular science. Dr. Shen will be able to provide continued, valuable support to Wellstar for the Company's ambitions of entering the Chinese hospital/health care market.

Courtney Lyder, N.D., M.S., C.W.S., R.N.

Dr. Courtney Lyder (PhD in nursing) brings to Wellstar a tremendous background in wound care, hospital operations and nurse care management. Dr. Lyder currently serves as the Dean of Nursing at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and is widely respected by his peers as the preeminent expert in treating the elderly, and wounds caused by inactivity. Dr. Lyder holds specialized certifications as a gerontological nurse practitioner and as a certified wound specialist. He has been a licensed RN since 1989. His advisory role for Wellstar will be extremely important as the Company expands its client base and further develops its imaging products and service offerings.
