Cinergy (NYSE:CIN) is sending approximately 100 employees to south Florida to assist Florida Power & Light in the restoration of electric service after Hurricane Wilma. The personnel will come from Cincinnati Gas & Electric, Union Light Heat & Power and PSI Energy operating companies. Employees assisting include line workers, supervisors and mechanics. Approximately 75 are helping from PSI Energy in Indiana; 36 are assisting from CG&E and ULH&P in Ohio and Kentucky. Cinergy employees will leave Wednesday, October 26 and will begin work Friday morning. They will be in Florida for at least two weeks. This is the fifth time Cinergy has sent crews to assist utilities following hurricane damage this year. Cinergy Corp. has a balanced, integrated portfolio consisting of two core businesses: regulated operations and commercial businesses.
