EcoEmissions Solutions (OTQB:ECMZ) is pleased that as a result of increasing demand for its cost saving Catalyst Injection System™ (CIS™) that it has released its Client Marketing Report. This report has identified a potential market of $1.2 billion dollars, however the study was limited in scope primarily to Companies in the United States or those Companies that EcoEmissions has already enter into talks with.

London based International Maritime Organization (IMO), a UN agency that regulates the shipping industry has adopted a plan to dramatically reduce air pollution from ships that sail within 370 km (230 miles) of the US and Canadian coasts. Starting in July of 2010 diesel fuel sulphur limits could not exceed 10,000 ppm. By 2015, this limit will be reduced to 1000 ppm. For those non US Flag vessels, the North American ECA rules will become enforceable in August 2012.

This regulation will force ships to use more refined fuels that will cut sulfur levels by 98%, thereby reducing Sulphur Oxide (Sox) emissions and diesel particulate emissions by 85%. The lower sulphur diesel fuels will increase the vessel operator’s fuel expense significantly. The EPA expects that fuel meeting the 1000 ppm Sulphur limits will be 40% more expensive than the current marine fuel in use. EcoEmissions (OTCQB:ECMZ) CIS™ system addresses these problems now by changing the efficiency of the engine, reducing fuel consumption rates and helps recover some of these costs, as well as reducing harmful emissions.

  • Estimated diesel fuel consumption by the EPA for the Marine Market in 2011, in North America will exceed 4.4 Billion Gallons of fuel at a cost of over $10 Billion dollars. This cost is expected to increase each year over the next 10 years.
  • Data from the Marine industry & N.O.A.A.: based on engine size and the quality of fuel typically used, research shows that just 51,000 of the world’s current large ship fleet emit as much pollution as half the number of cars on the planet. According to Sea Web from Lloyd’s registry that there are over 190,000 registered vessels that are contributing to the emissions problem we face today.
  • Maritime operations are Eco’s initial target market as it is an estimated multi-billion dollar industry and the CIS system will make a significant impact on reducing noxious emissions as well as increasing our potential future customer’s bottom line by reducing fuel costs.
  • These rulings by the IMO are impacting the shipping industry. It means significant restrictions to the shipping industry as to how much they pollute the air, as well as the water. ‘Going ‘green’ isn’t an option anymore – it’s being regulated by the International community. EcoEmissions Solutions has developed an innovative product that addresses and is directly involved to help solve the problem.

The CIS™ is a unique system that works effectively on all diesel engines without expensive engine modifications. The CIS™ reduces the NOx by 15 – 25% and diesel particulate matter by 40 – 60%. This meets and/or exceeds the pollution requirement reductions that are being mandated throughout the industrialized world. The world is looking for solutions. EcoEmissions has the answer. The CIS™ is now being recognized internationally as one of the most effective ways of solving the problem of diesel emissions. Most pollution saving devises and additives currently available are expensive to implement and result in higher overall operating costs. Eco’s CIS™ is ‘cost negative’ and the system can be duplicated in any market, any place in the world. A truly global solution.

  • EcoEmissions is currently concentrating on the US maritime market - there are almost 150 ports in the United States alone. The North American market is potentially a billion plus dollars annually.

About EcoEmissions Solutions - EcoEmissions Solutions, Inc. (OTCQB:ECMZ) proven patented emissions-reducing Catalyst Injection System™ (CIS™) offers a global solution for diesel engines used in heavy industry and large marine applications around the world. The pre-combustion system (the only patented system of its type in the world), injects a platinum-based catalyst (nano) solution into diesel engine cylinders producing a more complete burn of the diesel fuel. Simply installed without modifications to the engine itself, the results are more power, lower fuel consumption, dramatically reduced pollution and an extension of engine life. The ongoing consumption and replacement of ECMZ catalyst as part of normal diesel engine operation, provides ECMZ with an ongoing revenue stream that increases with the number of engine units installed. Eco's technology is patented, has further patents pending and is trademarked.
