Proto Labs Receives Governor’s International Trade Award

Leading online and technology-enabled quick-turn manufacturer,
Proto Labs, Inc. (NYSE: PRLB) today received a Governor’s
International Trade Award from the state of Minnesota. The award
recognizes the company’s achievements and growth in international
business as well as the positive impact that its exports and
increased local employment base have had on Minnesota’s
economy.

Proto Labs was one of ten recipients being honored at the
Governor’s 27th Annual International Trade Awards and
Minneapolis-St. Paul Export Initiative luncheon today at the IDS
Center in Minneapolis. The focus of this year’s awards ceremony was
Manufacturing/Services and Agricultural Commodities/Processed
Food.
Over one quarter of Proto Labs’ business is international, and
to date the company has shipped products to more than 50 foreign
countries. Proto Labs’ headquarters, R&D center and
manufacturing facilities are located in Maple Plain, Minnesota,
with a new manufacturing site located in Rosemount, Minnesota
coming online in April. Proto Labs’ international manufacturing
facilities are located in Japan and the U.K., with sales and
customer service offices in Germany and France.
