Five Star Professional has named Scott Jones as one of the Philadelphia area recipients of the 2013 Five Star Wealth Manager award. This is the fourth time in five years that Mr. Scott has received this award. The award winner appeared in a special section in the November issue of Philadelphia Magazine. Five Star Professional partnered with Philadelphia Magazine to conduct research to identify a select group of wealth managers who are exceptional in both their ability and their commitment to overall satisfaction. Of the 27,800 licensed wealth managers in the Philadelphia area, 934 (fewer than 4 percent) were selected.

A survey was provided to approximately one in 12 high-net-worth-households in the Philadelphia area. Survey respondents were asked to evaluate wealth managers they knew through personal experience and to evaluate them based upon ten criteria. Both negative and positive evaluations were included in the scoring. Only wealth managers with a minimum of five years of experience were considered. Each wealth manager was reviewed for regulatory actions, civil judicial actions and customer complaints as reported by regulatory agencies. The final list was reviewed by a panel of local financial services industry professionals.
