Cost-shared incentives for deploying services
to help building owners and managers make data-based decisions
about building optimization and capital investments
BuildingIQ (ASX: BIQ) today announces it has been named a New
York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)
Qualified Vendor for the Real-Time Energy Management (RTEM)
Program. The NYSERDA RTEM program is designed to promote solutions
that use building data to optimize energy usage. The RTEM program
makes up to $30 million available in cost-shared incentives for the
installation of systems and post-installation information services
of solutions, such as BuildingIQ’s Energy Worksite and Facility
Worksite.
Energy Worksite is a cloud-based visualization, measurement, and
analytics tool that provides an overview of a building’s energy
consumption on an hourly basis. By accessing a building’s main
meter and any number of sub-meters, Energy Worksite is ideal for
single and multitenant buildings of any size or use. Utilizing
energy interval data and advanced modeling capabilities, Energy
Worksite can compare actual measured consumption with expected
energy consumption. The customizable Energy Worksite interface
allows building owners to easily zero in on energy outliers in
their property portfolio and isolate the impact of energy
conservation measures.
BuildingIQ’s Facility Worksite solution, which can operate as a
standalone service or in conjunction with Energy Worksite,
streamlines the day-to-day management of facilities-related
activities for a single property or a portfolio of buildings.
Projects can be tracked throughout various stages of completion
along with associated costs, equipment, the team member
responsible, dates, milestones, and associated external vendors.
Facility Worksite creates transparency, ownership and increases
productivity among the facilities team, keeping everyone informed.
It can even automatically assign tasks based on pre-determined
rules and send deadline reminders.
With the RTEM program and BuildingIQ’s services, building owners
and building management companies throughout the state of New York
will now be able to make informed data-based decisions to improve
and track energy efficiency activities and improve occupant
comfort.
“BuildingIQ’s platform provides a proven, data-driven approach
to improving building operations, as well as measuring and
verifying energy savings,” said Michael Nark, president and CEO of
BuildingIQ. “As an approved NYSERDA RTEM vendor, our cloud-based
services will be able to help New York buildings identify and
realize opportunities to temper energy consumption.”
