Blockchain Founders Capital (BFC), a German venture capital firm rapidly making waves in the early-stage tech investment scene, has welcomed Yat Siu, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands, as its newest limited partner. This collaboration marks Yat Siu’s first partnership with a Germany-based fund, highlighting BFC’s growing influence in Europe’s Web3 and AI innovation space.

Yat Siu, an Austrian-born entrepreneur renowned globally as a trailblazer in blockchain, Web3, and digital property rights, brings unique expertise to BFC. His involvement emphasizes the fund’s mission to empower transformative founders operating at the intersection of Web2, Web3, and AI. Since its launch, Blockchain Founders Capital has committed €15 million to support early-stage startups. To date, the fund has made 17 strategic investments, with an average ticket size of €300,000. Approximately 60% of its portfolio includes US-based projects pushing the boundaries of Web3 and AI technologies.

Scaling Impact and Diversity

BFC aims to stand out for its focus on technological breakthroughs and for its commitment to inclusivity. With 40% of its portfolio founded by first-generation expatriates and 35% by women, BFC is fostering a diverse new wave of entrepreneurship. By 2026, the fund aims to complete 10–15 additional investments, growing its portfolio to 40 companies.

With Yat Siu on board, BFC is poised to deepen its reach into decentralized and AI-driven business models, further solidifying its position as a catalyst for global Web3 innovation.
