Santa Arrives in New York Early on Delta Shuttle Annual holiday event brings holiday cheer to community children NEW YORK, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Shuttle will help Santa Claus deliver holiday cheer and presents to thousands of New York City children today as part of the 30th annual Operation Santa Claus, sponsored by the Community Mayors of New York and New Jersey. More than 4,000 children with special needs from the New York City Board of Education's Special Education Division will ring in the holiday season at JFK International Airport's Hangar 19 with Macy's Day parade characters, the New York State Pipe and Drum Corps and several superheroes. Santa is visiting New York early this year to join Delta Shuttle and community volunteers in celebrating the holiday season with local children. "Delta is a strong supporter of the New York community, and it thrills us to help bring cheer and joys of the season to some of the area's children," said Ray Valeika, Delta's senior vice president of Technical Operations.
