Town & Country Bancorp, Inc. Announces Second Quarter Earnings
SPRINGFIELD, Ill., July 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Town &
Country Bancorp, Inc. (OTC:TCBS) (BULLETIN BOARD: TCBS) announced
earnings for the second quarter of 2004 of $527 thousand. On a per
share basis, earnings were $0.42 for the quarter. For the first six
months, earnings have been $1.102 million, which represents $.88
per share. Total assets at quarter end were over $360 million, an
increase of over 9% from a year ago. Total deposits were over $281
million, an increase of over 12% over the last year. Also, total
loans grew to over $216 million, representing growth of over 9% in
the last year. The Board of Directors declared a $0.08 per share
quarterly cash dividend payable on September 15, 2004 to
stockholders of record September 1, 2004. This represents a 14%
increase in the dividend rate over the same quarter last year. On a
year to date basis, the Company has declared a dividend of $0.24
per share, which represents an increase of over 21% over the prior
year. In addition, the Board also declared a 3 for 2 stock split
payable on September 30, 2004 to stockholders of record September
2, 2004. This represents the third stock split, along with three
stock dividends, that has been paid in the last eight years. Shares
