Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. Reports April 2005 Traffic CHEYENNE,
Wyo., May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd.
(OTC:GLUX) (BULLETIN BOARD: GLUX) today announced preliminary
passenger traffic results for the month of April. Scheduled service
generated 8,327,000 revenue passenger miles (RPM's), a 15.1 percent
decrease from the same month last year. Available seat miles
(ASM's) decreased 15.5 percent to 21,673,000. As a result, load
factor increased 0.2 points to 38.4 percent. Passengers carried
decreased 11.5 percent to 31,110 when compared to April 2004.
Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM) increased 12.2 %
from 20.97 cents to 23.52 cents. For the three months ending April
30, 2005 compared to the same three month period in 2004, revenue
passenger miles (RPM's) decreased 10.5 percent to 36,478,000 and
available seat miles (ASM's) decreased 21.5 percent to 87,802,000,
resulting in a load factor of 41.5 percent for the year 2005
compared to 38.1 percent for the same three month period in 2004.
The company carried 135,733 revenue passengers for the three month
period ending April 30, 2005, a 10.5 percent decrease from the
prior year. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM)
increased 17.1% from 20.43 cents to 23.93 cents on a year-over-year
basis. April traffic was adversely affected by the April 10th
snowstorm in Denver which cancelled many flights. New services
began on April 3rd to Silver City, Clovis and Albuquerque, New
Mexico. Additionally, Great Lakes Airlines began service from
Phoenix to Show Low, Arizona on May 1st and the company will
initiate service between Phoenix and both Kingman and Prescott,

17.1% Great Lakes is providing scheduled passenger service at 37
airports in ten states with a fleet of Embraer EMB-120 Brasilias
and Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners. A total of 184 weekday
flights are scheduled at three hubs, with 156 flights at Denver, 10
flights at Albuquerque, and 10 flights at Phoenix. All scheduled
flights are operated under the Great Lakes Airlines marketing
identity in conjunction with code-share agreements with United
Airlines and Frontier Airlines at the Denver International Airport
