(AMEX:CAS), a North American distributor of highly engineered metals and plastics, today announced the election of Mr. Brian P. Anderson and Mr. Thomas A. Donahoe to the Company's Board of Directors on July 28, 2005. Mr. Anderson, a CPA, formerly Corporate Vice President-Finance, Senior Vice President/CFO of Baxter International, brings a background of global finance to the Board. Mr. Anderson is a Director of WW Grainger. He is also a Director of the Chicago Botanical Gardens and on the Dean's Advisory Board of Kelly School of Business, Indiana University. Mr. Anderson was appointed as a member of the Company's Audit Committee. Mr. Donahoe, retired Vice Chair of Price Waterhouse LLP, rounds out the financial expertise of the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Donahoe is a director of NiCor, Inc. and Andrews Corp. He is also a Director of the Hadley School for the Blind, Kohls Children's Museum, Executive Service Corps of Chicago, Johnston R. Bowman Health Center for the Elderly, Chicago Botanical Gardens, and Big Shoulders Fund. Mr. Donahoe was appointed as a member of the Company's Audit Committee. Mr. John W. McCarter, Jr. retired from A. M. Castle & Co.'s Board on July 28, 2005 after 22 years of service. Founded in 1890, A. M.
