CHEYENNE, Wyo., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Great Lakes
Aviation, Ltd. (OTC:GLUX) (BULLETIN BOARD: GLUX) today announced
preliminary passenger traffic results for the month of December
2006. Scheduled service generated 9,919,000 revenue passenger miles
(RPM's), a 6.0 percent decrease from the same month last year.
Available seat miles (ASM's) decreased 11.6 percent to 21,151,000.
As a result, load factor increased 3.4 points to 46.9 percent.
Passengers carried decreased 6.0 percent to 37,141 when compared to
December 2005. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM)
increased 3.7 percent from 28.16 cents to 29.19 cents. Traffic and
capacity were impacted due the widely reported snow storms that
forced a significant number of flight cancellations at our Denver
hub during peak holiday travel. For the twelve months ending
December 31, 2006 compared to the same twelve month period in 2005,
revenue passenger miles (RPM's) increased 12.3 percent to
132,252,000 and available seat miles (ASM's) increased 1.0 percent
to 283,272,000. A load factor of 46.7 percent for the year 2006
generated a load factor increase of 4.7 points compared to the same
twelve month period in 2005. The company carried 504,666 revenue
passengers for the twelve month period ending December 31, 2006, a
13.8 percent increase from the prior year. Preliminary revenue per
available seat mile (RASM) increased 13.5 percent from 26.31 cents

29.86 26.31 13.5% Great Lakes is providing scheduled passenger
service at 39 airports in nine states with a fleet of Embraer
EMB-120 Brasilias and Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners. A
total of 198 weekday flights are scheduled at three hubs, with 140
flights at Denver, 8 flights at Albuquerque, and 20 flights at
Phoenix. All scheduled flights are operated under the Great Lakes
Airlines marketing identity in conjunction with code-share
agreements with United Airlines and Frontier Airlines at the Denver
International Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
