outside, customers use more electricity to cool their homes. Here
are some suggestions for keeping your home cool and your energy
bill down: -- Turn off unnecessary lights. -- Close blinds, shades
and drapes to reduce the amount of sunlight entering your home. --
Use room fans, ceiling fans and attic whole-house fans to circulate
air. -- Avoid using home appliances like dishwashers and clothes
dryers during peak daylight hours. These appliances generate heat
and add humidity to homes. Save such jobs for the early morning or
late evening when it is generally cooler. -- Keep your thermostat
set at a constant comfortable level. Customers also can save money
by using energy more wisely with PECO's new energy saver kit. A
value of $30, the kit is available to PECO customers for $19.99
plus $3 shipping and handling. The kit can save customers about $40
a year and nearly $400 during the life of the products. For
