Evercore Partners Appoints Qazi Fazal as a Senior Managing Director

NEW YORK, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Evercore Partners Inc.
(NYSE: EVR) announced today that Qazi Fazal has joined the firm's
restructuring advisory practice as a Senior Managing Director. Mr.
Fazal, who will be based in New York, will work with William Repko,
David Ying, Daniel Celentano and Stephen Sieh in expanding
Evercore's restructuring advisory business. "Qazi is a highly
respected and experienced banker and a key addition to our
restructuring advisory practice," said Roger C. Altman, Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of Evercore Partners. "That business is
doing well, better than it ever has, and I expect it to move upward

boutiques." Mr. Fazal was most recently at Miller Buckfire &
Co. where he was a Managing Director and a member of the management
committee. Mr. Fazal has been involved in numerous restructuring,
financing and strategic advisory assignments across various
industries, including advising: Paul Allen/Vulcan Ventures on
matters relating to Charter Communications' $20 billion balance
sheet; Imperial Sugar on its $700 million restructuring; and Focal
Communications on its $400 million restructuring and subsequent
