ComEd Announces Executive Appointments

CHICAGO, July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- ComEd Chairman and CEO Frank M.
Clark today announced two key appointments to the company's senior
leadership team. Joseph R. Trpik Jr., has been appointed Senior
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Carl L.
Segneri Jr., has been appointed Vice President, Programs and
Technology. Trpik, who has been serving as acting CFO since late
May, will continue to be responsible for all finance activities,
including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, business
planning and risk management. He joined Exelon Corporation in 2001
and served in director level positions in corporate accounting and
corporate financial planning and analysis until 2004 when he was
appointed vice president and assistant corporate controller, the
position he held before moving to ComEd. Segneri will support
utility operations at ComEd, a role that includes coordination of
research and development for new technology applications, Electric
Power Research Institute (EPRI) coordination and North American
Electric Reliability Council (NERC) compliance oversight. Prior to
his current position, he served as vice president, utility
operational governance and quality assurance for Exelon. "We are

improve our system performance." Trpik holds bachelor's degrees in
accounting and finance from Florida State University and is a
certified public accountant in Illinois and Florida. Segneri serves
as chairperson of the AEIC-Electric Power Apparatus Committee and
also chairs the board of trustees for St. Francis High School in
Wheaton, Ill. He holds a bachelor's degree with honors in
electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and is
licensed as a Professional Engineer for the State of Illinois.
