BRE Properties Appoints Stephanie T. Andre as Vice President, Treasurer

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BRE Properties,
Inc. (NYSE:BRE) today announced the appointment of Stephanie T.
Andre as vice president, treasurer, effective immediately. Andre
joins BRE from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she served as a
principal in the firm's real estate investment banking group. As
treasurer, Andre will be responsible for maintaining optimal
liquidity, compliance, budget and long-range forecasting;
developing capital strategies to manage cost of capital and
financial risk; managing external credit and capital relationships,
including banking relations, institutional investors, market
research analysts, and rating agencies; and directing treasury
operational strategies. "We are pleased to welcome Stephanie to

recognition of the increasing significance of the treasury
function, particularly in capital financing and financial risk

impact." Andre spent the last eight years at Bank of America
Merrill Lynch, where she served as vice president, real estate
investment banking, and principal, real estate investment banking.
In these positions, she completed more than $5 billion in merger
and acquisitions, and debt and equity transactions. Andre holds a
bachelor's degree from Columbia University, and a master's of
business administration, from the Haas School of Business at the
