DETROIT, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota is presently constructing an
exhibit for the 2010 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)
that showcases its environmental leadership, through interactive
displays, futuristic concept vehicles and related technologies.
Toyota's 23,500-square-foot exhibit will demonstrate the
automaker's acuity in hybrid vehicle technology and innovation in
all areas of advanced future technology. Featured vehicles include
the small FT-EV II concept, which debuted at the recent Tokyo Motor
Show, and a Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle (PHV) which is
presently being field tested in select markets around the world.
The exhibit, constructed with significant quantities of recycled
and repurposed materials, will also serve as center stage for a new
dedicated hybrid concept vehicle making its world debut at NAIAS on
Jan. 11. "This exhibit makes a strong statement about our
environmental pursuits, now and in the future," said Donna Walter,
Auto Show Exhibits Manager at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.
"Innovation is driving our industry and visitors will marvel at how
quickly automobiles are evolving in areas of fuel efficiency,
safety and comfort." As for interactive features, Toyota will have
a cut-away view of the 2011 Toyota Sienna's segment-leading,
four-cylinder engine. Other up-close-and-personal items include: a
Prius Solar Moonroof Display, a Telematics Kiosk, and the
ever-popular Toyota Live studio, located in the heart of the
exhibit. Motorsports fans will also have a chance to view the
NASCAR Camry Hybrid Pace Car, the first hybrid ever charged with
pace car duties in the revered racing series. Toyota will showcase
its popular product lineup in four distinctive areas - all-new
vehicles, such as the Sienna; small cars, large cars, and
trucks/SUVs. About Toyota Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. is
