TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Having recently
acquired the KidShape marks and pediatric wellness program, IMD
Companies, Inc. (OTC: ICBU) is announcing the launch of KidShape
2.0. This release is the latest comprehensive children's wellness
program focusing on education and behavior modification using the
most recent tools and techniques available. After being in
development for over one year, the PLAY program has been combined
with the KidShape wellness products to create the KidShape 2.0
system that is ready to be deployed in both the clinical and
research fields. With several interested parties having already
contacted the company, IMD hopes to have the program in use through
licensees within the next few weeks. The programs will be made
available though digital delivery allowing for greater flexibility
and faster response to licensee requirements. Participants will
also have web access to the KidShape 2.0 educational materials as
well as the KidShape store.
IMD attended the 6th Biennial Childhood Obesity Conference in
San Diego on June 28-30, 2011. The KidShape 2.0 program was
presented to attendees. The California Department of Public Health,
the University of California, Berkeley,
The California Endowment as well as Kaiser Permanente were some of
the main organizers of this year's Conference. That was held at the
Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego,
California. The Biennial Childhood Obesity Conference is the
nation's largest, most influential collaboration of professionals
dedicated to combating pediatric obesity. Nearly 2,000 attendees
from across the country attended. The Conference showcased the
latest research, evidence-based best practices, and
policy/environmental change strategies. "We are pleased with the
progress the company has made into this fast growing childhood
obesity industry," stated IMD CEO Saeb
Jannoun. "The company plans on tackling the serious obesity
problem the country is facing as a whole on all levels, but the
childhood obesity niche is evolving rapidly because it really does
not have the historical data that the adult weight-loss industry
can rely upon. We plan on being on the cutting edge with the
juvenile programs," he concluded.
