HOUSTON, Feb. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Flame Seal
Products, Inc (Pink Sheets: FLMP) releases the following:
Due to recent events that now mark the advent of Flame Seal's
"breakout" year, management is moving forward with key aspects of
its long term plans. As a result, Flame Seal has come to
terms with a long awaited, high level addition to the team, as
alluded to in press releases in the past two years. (There
are two new team members planned for this year.)
The first addition to Flame Seal for 2012 is a gentleman who is
arguably the most highly credentialed person in the Fire Protection
Industry.
CHARLES SANTOMENO
The addition of Charles Santomeno
to the Flame Seal Team is one of the most significant developments
in the Company's history. Mr. Santomeno will perform various
duties as a consultant, bringing new business opportunities to
Flame Seal, as well as acting as the lead in negotiations with the
companies involved. He also has agreed to assist Flame Seal
with other Contracts and negotiations. Further, due to the
close relationship between Mike
Kiser and Mr. Santomeno, Charles has agreed to advise and
assist the Company with key issues in the growth and development of
Flame Seal Products, Inc. to help the Company realize the vast
potential of its products in the global fire protection
marketplace. Charles has also agreed to serve as advisor to
Flame Seal's Board of Directors.
About Charles Santomeno:
From 1992 - 2007 Mr. Santomeno was the President & COO of
United States Mineral Products Company, dba "Isolatek
International", the largest independent Fire Protection product
manufacturer in the United States. He took the company from
$18Million in sales, with
$1Million annual losses, and as its
COO, increased sales to about $60Million and established Isolatek as the leader
in the U.S. passive fire protection industry, while competing with
two fortune 500 companies. He also helped organize Cafco, the
international component of Isolatek. Below are a few of Mr.
Santomeno's accomplishments listed on his resume:
- Represented the insulation industry to the US Department of
Commerce for impact on US industries for trade agreements under
negotiation.
- Held position of Vice Chairman of ITAC-9. Secured a "Secret
Security Clearance" in this role.
- Represented the Rock and Slag Mineral Wool industry before EPA
and established a program that permitted the US industry to avoid
costly pollution controls that would have resulted in a number of
companies closing.
As Vice President of Finance for Dalen Corporation (Parent to
United States Mineral Products Company) (1984 – 1992), Mr.
Santomeno...
- Directed ten "Due Diligence" reviews resulting in the
acquisition of five companies in the US, France and England.
- Successfully negotiated with the Minister of Finance of The
Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for
grant and loan guarantees for the establishment of a manufacturing
facility.
- Was responsible for financial management for all subsidiaries
including, credit, tax, insurance, accounting and reporting in
Canada, Luxembourg, England, France, Spain, Italy
and Hong Kong.
Mike Kiser, Craig Keyser and Charles
Santomeno are already working together on their first new
project. A Formal contract signing between the parties
occurred on February 5, 2012.
From the President: "I must say that I am truly ecstatic
over the fact that we are finally able to move forward with
welcoming Charles Santomeno aboard
as our newest team member.
"I realize many have wondered who this mystery person might be,
as rumors have persisted. I can tell you all that Mr.
Santomeno is, as you can see from some of his accomplishments, a
businessman who is known throughout the world in the Fire
protection business, and who is known for getting things done,
period. Evidence the fact that he built the largest dedicated
Fire Protection company in the U.S. while competing with two
fortune 500 companies in the Structural Steel Market. He won
those battles. His resume speaks for itself, and I am honored
that he has agreed to work closely with us in this, our most
important year. This is the year we will 'get it
done.'
"The opportunities lay before us in a very big way, and we must
not falter. With Charles working side by side with us, I am
certain that we will become as efficient and effective as is
possible, considering his vast experience and knowledge, as well as
his many contacts throughout the world.
"Welcome to Flame Seal, Charles, and I am sure we will all be
celebrating many milestones in the coming months and years!"
