VANCOUVER, April 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Callinex Mines
(TSX.V - CAA) (OTCQX - CLLXF) is pleased to announce the receipt of
assays from six holes, including an 8.90 meter drill core
intersection grading 3.02 g/t gold and 8.88 g/t silver from its
wholly owned Gossan Hill property in Northern Manitoba near Cranberry Portage.
The 8.90 meter intersection was received from hole GOS43, which
was collared 650 meters south of the previous drilling associated
with the Gossan Hill zone, and appears to be on the same horizon /
structure as the mineralized intersections recovered from the 2011
program. The company has also received assay results from DDH
GOS46, which intersected 4.02 meters of 1.46 g/t gold, and 2.13 g/t
silver, 325 meters north of any previously tested holes. These two
intersections, situated 1800 meters apart, along with the Gossan
Hill Zone results, continue to demonstrate the potential of the
property.
Assay results from the six holes are as follows:

Widths are drill core widths. Further drilling will be required
to determine true widths.
Holes GOS49 through GOS55 successfully tested the on-strike
extension of known mineralization encountered in the 2011 drill
program.
Drilling at the Gossan Hill property has now been suspended as
winter conditions recede. The 2012 program completed a total of 32
diamond drill holes. Some drill core samples are still being
analyzed by Acme Analytical Laboratories, and the Company will
release results in due course. For more information on the Gossan
Hill property, including maps and tables of drilling results,
readers are encouraged to visit callinex.ca, or to call the
company.
Callinex Mines maintained a QA/QC program at all stages of
exploration. Drill core recovery was calculated, measured and
recorded at the Gossan Hill Property before being cut and sampled.
Samples were split in half, one half of each sample being kept for
storage and the other half placed in a pre-labeled plastic bag,
tagged with the sample number and recorded in the log. Callinex
QA/QC samples were inserted into the group of samples and shipped
to Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver, BC, where they were crushed, split,
and pulverized to 250 g samples at 200 mesh. Pulp samples were then
assayed by Aqua Regia digestion ICP-ES analysis (24 elements) and
assayed for gold and silver by fire assay method. The lab employs
internal quality control by assaying pulp duplicates and inserting
quality control standards of predetermined values and a blank
sample.
