today announced the launch of the new 14-inch FUJITSU LIFEBOOK E544
and 15.6-inch LIFEBOOK E554 models. These two new LIFEBOOK E Series
notebooks are designed with numerous components that are
interchangeable with all of the LIFEBOOK E Series models, thereby
helping IT managers of large and multinational companies speed up
roll-outs and simplify the maintenance and management of enterprise
computing environments, as well as provide their staffs with
several mobile computing options.

With the two new additions, Fujitsu now offers five different
models in the LIFEBOOK family of notebooks, which includes the
LIFEBOOK E754, LIFEBOOK E744 and the LIFEBOOK E734. All of the
notebooks are equipped with the same port replicator, as well as
shared components and accessories, such as some modular bay
elements. This interchangeability enables corporations to deploy
different-sized notebooks without needing to maintain many
different corporate images of software or supporting a different
set of drivers for each model.
Performance and Security
The new LIFEBOOK E Series
models are equipped with the latest 4th-generation Intel® Core™
processors that deliver high-speed system processing, while also
conserving power. To help meet the security needs of companies, the
new models deliver enterprise-class security and can be configured
with encrypted hard disk drives or solid state drives, fingerprint
sensors, smartcard slots, and security chips. In addition, the new
LIFEBOOK E Series notebooks deliver comprehensive business
features, including a long-battery life with a high-capacity
battery pack, plus superb system performance at a competitive
price.
Pricing and Availability
The new generation of FUJITSU
LIFEBOOK notebooks includes a choice of Genuine Microsoft Windows 7
Professional, 8.1, or 8.1 Pro and are now available to
order internationally via Fujitsu and distribution partners. Prices
vary by model and configuration.
