The dollar, which closed yesterday's New York session at 556.85 against the Chilean peso, dropped to a 5-day low of 552.75 at about 11:35 am ET Tuesday. At present, the greenback is trading near 553.70 versus the peso. If the US currency falls further, it may target the 550.00 level.
