NATIONSBANK DECLARES DIVIDEND
 
July 23 - The NationsBank Corporation (NYSE: NB) board of directors today
declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of US 33 cents per share on
NationsBank common stock.
 
The dividend is payable Sept. 26, 1997, to shareholders of record Sept. 5,
1997.
 
In further action, the board declared the regular quarterly cash dividend of
$1.75 per share on its outstanding 7 percent cumulative redeemable preferred
stock, Series B. The dividend is payable Oct. 28, 1997, to shareholders of
record Oct. 14, 1997.
 
The preferred stock was issued originally by Boatmens Bancshares Inc., which
merged with NationsBank on Jan. 7, 1997.
 
NationsBank Corporation is the fifth-largest U.S. banking company, with $240
billion in total assets at June 30, 1997. It operates retail and commercial
banking operations in 16 states and the District of Columbia.
