CLEMENTE KOREA EMERGING GROWTH FUND ("THE FUND")
(TO BE RENAMED REGENT KOREA EMERGING GROWTH FUND) 

It is announced today that a Resolution has been passed at an EGM of the Fund to
approve the open-ending of the Fund.

Resolutions were also passed to appoint Mr Chang Kon Koh and Mr David Curl as
additional Directors of the Fund. Jayne Sutcliffe has resigned as a Director.

Accordingly, the Fund will be applying to the London Stock Exchange for a
termination of the listing of its Shares forthwith.

The Fund will be open for issues and redemptions on an on-going basis with
weekly dealings, the first Valuation Day is expected to be 23 October 1997.
