CHORION TAKES CHRISTIE TO AMERICA
Chorion PLC, the entertainment brands business (LSE: COR), has today announced
the largest ever Christie order from an American television network. A&E
Network, the award winning US cable network, is to show eight new Christie
dramas. This order underlines Chorion's continuing progress in America.
At the AGM last week Waheed Alli, Chairman of Chorion, announced that the first
four of the Chorion/A&E Network/ITV co-productions - Death on the Nile, Five
Little Pigs, The Hollow and Sad Cypress - would all star David Suchet as the
world famous detective Hercule Poirot. Filming on Five Little Pigs will begin
in July and full casting details will be announced nearer the time.
Waheed Alli, Chairman of Chorion, said:
"We're delighted to have A&E Network as our American co-production partner for
these key new Christie dramas. This is the biggest ever order for Christie from
an American company and shows her enduring worldwide popularity. We are all
committed to broadening the appeal of the world's greatest mystery writer and
bringing her classic stories to new audiences".
