Statement to be made at Annual General Meeting



At the Annual General Meeting of Hydro International plc, to be held at 12 noon
today, the Chairman Roger Lockwood will make the following statement:



"Hydro has experienced very high levels of activity during the first five months
of the year and continues to make strong progress and achieve further gains in
operating performance.


The UK market, in line with our expectations, is benefiting from increasing
activity in water industry expenditure on Asset Management Plan 3, whilst the
construction industry has remained buoyant.


In the US we have seen a growing order book that will convert to sales during
the second half of the year. Orders have arisen from both the municipal
wastewater market and from the stormwater market.


Although mindful of the possible impact of prevailing economic uncertainty we
expect Hydro to record further significant advances this year."
