PPL Therapeutics plc ("the Company")

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange and to the UK Listing
Authority for the listing of 121,068,834 Ordinary shares of 1p each, ranking
pari passu with the existing Ordinary shares, to the Official List.

118,582,994 shares are being issued in connection with the subdivision of shares
as detailed in the announcement dated 24 June 2003 (RNS Number: 7043M).

The application to list the remaining 2,485,840 shares is being made to carry
forward unissued block listing shares. These shares will be allotted following
the exercise of options under the rules of the following schemes/plans.
