                Ormonde Mining plc ("Ormonde" or 'the Company')

                         Directors' Interests in Shares

Options over ordinary shares of nominal value Euro0.025 in the Company (the
"Options") have been granted to the Directors of Ormonde under the Company's
Share Option Scheme (the "Option Scheme"). The exercise price of each option
granted under the Option Scheme is Euro0.034. The Options are exercisable at any
time up to 13 August, 2013.

The Options granted to Directors were as follows:
