                Gyrus Announces Acquisition of Entermed BV


Reading, UK - Gyrus Group PLC, (GYG.L) a leading supplier of medical devices to
reduce trauma and complications in surgery, today announces the acquisition of
Entermed BV, a distributor of medical products in Benelux.


Entermed BV currently distributes Gyrus' range of ENT products and a broader
product portfolio to surgeons in Benelux. The acquisition of Entermed BV
provides Gyrus with a platform to grow its revenues in Benelux and reflects the
Group's strategy of expanding its direct selling model.


Entermed BV had revenues of circa Euro5.2 million in the last twelve months.  Gyrus
is paying a total consideration of up to Euro2.1 million in cash over the next
twenty-four months including Euro0.5 million upfront to acquire Entermed BV.
