Cape Plc announces that it was informed on 9 September 2003 that Montpellier
Group plc disposed of 5,493,480 ordinary shares in the Company on 8 September
2003. Following the disposal, Montpellier Group no longer holds any ordinary
shares in the Company.



Cape Plc also announces that it was informed on 9 September 2003 by ISIS Asset
Management plc that its client, Active Capital Trust, purchased 1,200,000
ordinary shares in the Company on 8 September 2003. Following the purchase,
Active Capital Trust now holds 2,700,000 ordinary shares in the Company,
representing approximately 4.97 per cent. of the issued share capital of Cape.
