                         Publication of ESM Particulars

Further to the announcement of the conditional placing of 29,411,775 new
Ordinary Shares at Euro0.034 (Stg2.4p) per share ("the Placing Shares") on 15
August, 2003, Ormonde Mining plc ("Ormonde" or "the Company") has today
published a document comprising Exploration Securities Market Particulars ("ESM
Particulars"). Application has therefore been made to the Irish Stock Exchange
for the Placing Shares to be admitted to dealing on the Exploration Securities
Market of the Irish Stock Exchange.


Pending approval of the allotment of the Placing Shares at the Extraordinary
General Meeting of the Company being held tomorrow, 18 September, 2003, it is
expected that admission will become effective and dealing will commence in the
Placing Shares on 19 September, 2003.


The Placing is therefore expected to complete as scheduled on 19 September,
2003.


A copy of the ESM Particulars has been submitted and will shortly be available
for inspection at the Company Announcements Office of the Irish Stock Exchange,
28 Anglesea Street, Dublin 2, Tel: 6174200.
