Eldridge Pope regretfully announces that its Non-Executive Chairman, Christopher
Pope, has stepped down as Chairman of the Company due to ill health, although he
is remaining a Non-Executive Director.

Robert Colvill, the Company's Senior Non-Executive Director will be assuming,
with immediate effect, the role of acting Non-Executive Chairman.

Robert Colvill was a former Finance Director of Marks & Spencer's plc and
Chairman of Marks & Spencer's Financial Services.  He was appointed to the Board
of Eldridge Pope in March 2002 and as Senior independent Non-Executive Director
in November 2002.
