Disclosure of Interests in Shares

M&G Equity Investment Trust P.L.C. (M&G EIT) announces that it has today been
informed that Prudential plc and certain of its subsidiaries are interested in
106,914,011 M&G EIT Income shares representing 60.39% of the issued capital of
Income shares. 105,583,614 of the said shares are held on behalf of M&G PEP and
ISA account holders.
