ARTEMIS ALPHA TRUST PLC (the "Company")

Appointment of new Chairman


The Board of the Company announces the appointment of Mr Simon Miller as the
Company's new non-executive Chairman with effect from today. Mr Miller, 
currently chairman of Dunedin Capital Partners, takes over from Mr Peter 
Metcalfe, who will continue to act as a non-executive director of the Company.
