          Announcement of Trading Update and Analysts Conference Call



At 7.00 a.m. (UK) 9.00 a.m. (SA) Tuesday, 18 November 2003, Old Mutual plc
(OML.L) will be providing an update on current trading activities in respect of
the Group.



A conference call for analysts and investors has been arranged at which Julian
Roberts, Group Finance Director, will answer questions. The call will start at
9.00 a.m. (UK) 11.00 a.m. (SA) on 18 November 2003.
