Glencar Announces Latest Exploration Results from Asheba Project, Ghana and the
Launch of New Website
Glencar is pleased to announce results from the latest field programme on its
Asheba Project in Ghana. Detailed field mapping has been carried out and rock
and spoil heap sampling and auger drilling is currently in progress. A
significant strike extension to the previously known main mineralised area at
Cheriaman has been discovered. The mineralised strike length now extends over a
3 km distance, some 1.5 kms on either side of the old mine site at Cheriaman.
Specifically identified targets along this strike length will be the subject of
a drilling programme expected to commence in December as soon as a drill rig
becomes available in the area.
The Asheba licence is approximately 45 sq. kms in area and is situated 25 kms
south of Ghana's most prolific gold district of Tarkwa, which has currently
delineated reserves of more than 25 million ounces of gold and approximately
750,000 ounces of annual production.
Glencar also announces the launch of its new website at www.glencarmining.ie .
The new website is designed to provide comprehensive information on the
Company's exploration properties and activities in an easy-to-use format.
