                    Market Purchase of Company's Own Shares

Notification is given that pursuant to the authority granted at the Annual
General Meeting of the Company held on 16 October 2003 to make market purchases
of the Company's own shares of 25p, a market purchase of 160,000 ordinary shares
of 25p each in the capital of the Company was made today at a price of 49.0p per
share.

The total number of shares in issue is now 82,750,000.
