The Board of Directors of Australian Mortgage Securities Limited is pleased to
announce that on 30 November 2004, Morlan Pty Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary
of General Electric Company (GE) acquired all the shares in Australian Financial
Investments Group Limited (AFIG).

AFIG is the sole shareholder of Wizard Home Loans Pty Limited (Wizard) which
owns 100% of the issued capital of AMS Investment Pty Limited (AMSI) which in
turn owns 100% of the issued capital of Australian Mortgage Securities Limited
(AMS).
