Southampton Leisure Holdings plc announce that their wholly owned subsidiary
Southampton Football Club have agreed compensation terms for the training and
development of Club scholar Theo Walcott. Accordingly the scholarship agreement
between Theo and the Club has been cancelled.



The compensation agreed amounts to an immediate payment of #5.0 million and
further payments that are contingent on Club and International appearances. If
these contingent events are completed then total compensation will amount to
#12.0 million.
