Southampton Leisure Holdings plc, the parent company of Southampton Football
Club Ltd, (the Company), announces that 2,542,737 shares in the Company have
changed hands to day.


The vendors of these shares were members of the family of Southampton Leisure
Holdings Director Paul Thompson and companies beneficially owned by them. These
transactions did not fall within s324 of the Companies Act 1985.


One of these companies, Waterhead Ltd, which previously held a disclosable
interest has advised the Company that this is no longer the case and the
appropriate regulatory notice has been filed.


No notice of a disclosable interest has been received by the Company from any
purchaser. Any interest of over 3% must be disclosed within 2 business days of
acquisition under s202(i) of the same Act.


Paul Thompson continues to hold 156,000 shares in the Company directly and
remains on the Company's Board.
