Strategic Retail plc ("the Company") announces that, on 22 March 2007, the
Company received notification pursuant to the implementation of the Transparency
Directive that Unicorn Asset Management Limited has an indirect holding of
1,500,100 voting rights in the Company's share capital, representing 7.2% of the
total voting rights of the Company.  The undertaking through which the voting
rights are held is Unicorn AIM VCT plc.
