                                ISSUE OF EQUITY


South China Resources plc ("the Company") announces that on 25 April 2007 it
issued and allotted 100,000 new Ordinary Shares following a notice of exercise
of Options in the Company.  The exercise price for these Options was 5p per
share.


Application will be made for the new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading
on AIM. The new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary
Shares in the Company and trading of these shares on AIM is expected to commence
on 29 April 2007.


The total number of Ordinary Shares on issue following this issue is 161,650,003
