KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL (the Company) (AIM: KDC)
GEM DIAMONDS AUSTRALIA PTY LIMITED (Gem) TAKEOVER OFFER FOR
OPTIONS IN KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL

The Company advises that it has received notice from Gem under subsection 633
(2) of the Corporations Act 2001 whereby Gem has set 7.00am (WST) on 10 October
2007 as the time and date for determining the people to whom information is to
be sent under items 6 and 12 of the table in subsection 633(1) in relation to
the off-market takeover bid Gem will make for the 18,650,000 options with
exercise prices above 70 cents, being options to subscribe for ordinary shares
in the capital of the Company.
