KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL (the Company) (AIM: KDC)
GEM DIAMONDS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD TAKEOVER BID

Gem Diamonds Australia Pty Ltd (Gem) has advised the Company with reference to
the Acceptance Facility established by Gem on the terms of the First
Supplementary Bidder's Statement dated 14 September 2007, it has increased its
holding and percentage in the Company as follows.

- subject to acceptance under the Offer        37,018,423     8.63
- in which Gem had a relevant interest prior
   to the Offer                                64,037,000     14.92
